Les Dames d’Escoffier London is delighted to celebrate the appointment of our very own Dame Darina Allen as one of the newest International Ambassadors for Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI).
A pioneering force in food education, sustainability and the celebration of good food, Darina has spent decades inspiring generations of cooks, championing artisan producers and demonstrating the power of food to connect people and communities.
As founder of the internationally renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, award-winning author and passionate advocate for sustainable food systems, Darina brings an extraordinary wealth of experience, energy and influence to her new international role.
Already a valued Ambassador for LDE London, Darina will now help amplify LDEI's mission on a global stage, shining a light on the remarkable women shaping the future of food, beverage and hospitality.
Her appointment comes as LDEI welcomes six exceptional women to its latest Ambassador cohort, building on the work of those already helping to extend the organisation's reach and impact.
LDE London Co-Presidents Kate Howell and Cathy Sloman said:
"We couldn't be more thrilled to see Darina take on this international role. She is a tireless champion of good food, sustainability and the next generation, and embodies everything Les Dames stands for. We're incredibly proud to have her as a London Dame and can't think of a better voice to help share our mission with the world."
Congratulations, Darina! We can't wait to see the impact you’ll make.
