LDE London Proud to Support Micro-Bakery Bursary in Partnership with The School of Artisan Food

Les Dames d’Escoffier London is delighted to announce its support for a Micro-Bakery bursary, delivered in partnership with The School of Artisan Food.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to widening access to skills, opportunity and careers in food, ensuring that talent, passion and potential are never limited by circumstance.

Based in Nottinghamshire, The School of Artisan Food is a registered charity dedicated to teaching practical, sustainable food skills to people from all walks of life. Their work spans artisan baking, food production and enterprise, equipping individuals not only with craft skills but with the confidence and knowledge to build viable food businesses.

Through this partnership, LDE London is proud to contribute to a bursary that supports aspiring micro-bakers. Individuals at the start of their journey or seeking to take the next step in developing a small, independent food business.

Micro-bakeries sit at the heart of a more local, sustainable and community-led food system. They represent entrepreneurship, creativity and resilience, values that closely align with the ethos of Les Dames d’Escoffier London.

This initiative forms part of LDE London’s broader commitment to investing in women across the food, beverage and hospitality sectors. Through bursaries, micro-grants and mentoring, the chapter works to remove barriers, nurture talent and create pathways into meaningful, sustainable careers.

At its core, LDE London’s mission is simple but powerful: to build a world where women in food are visible, valued and fully supported to lead. Supporting this bursary is a tangible expression of that mission, turning connection into opportunity, and opportunity into lasting impact.

Applications for the bursary are now open. Deadline to apply is April 19th 2026, for the September intake. Apply here.
